Wow! This has been an awesome summer! Thank you all who supported the FPCY team who attended the 2016 Youth Triennium – we had an awesome experience. We will tell everyone more about it in worship a little later in September, so please stay tuned. Also coming up in October will be our reflections on the summer mission trip to Atlanta, GA, and we have one more mission adventure to go on!

But first, Youth Group meetings are starting up again on September 18! Middle School group from 4:30 – 6 pm, and High School group from 6 – 7:30. Join us as we decorate our new Youth Room and make plans for the 2016-2017 school year. We will be exploring all the ways we are called to love our neighbors and have fun while doing it, including getting psyched for our 24 hour Youth Group Mission Trip!

October 2-3 for 6th graders and up: we are going leave FPCY at about 3:30 in the afternoon on Sunday, October 2nd to go down to the Broadway Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. We will help prepare food for their soup kitchen, sort clothes in their clothes closet, have an evening vespers service, stay overnight at the church, then get up on Monday to serve lunch to the clients of the soup kitchen and return back to FPCY in the late afternoon on Monday. We’re going to cram a lot of service (and fun!) into 24 hours! Hope you can join us! We will have registration available through My FPCY very shortly, so stay tuned for an email to let you know when registration is open.

Any questions about our upcoming adventures? Email, call, text Steph Hare youth@fpcyorktown.org. Looking forward to an amazing new year!
