Food Pantry Requests for Thanksgiving

We know that many of you have enjoyed bringing in purchased (or those free supermarket) turkeys to distribute to our Food Pantry clients in the past. For several reasons, we can not accommodate that this year. First, we cannot handle the extra car traffic for drop off. Second, we are able to purchase small turkeys and chickens through Feeding Westchester (and smaller birds is something we want to encourage– rather than encouraging large gatherings) and these small birds may be hard to find at supermarkets this year.

So if you still have that itch to provide something for the Thanksgiving holiday table, the Food Pantry welcomes donations of corn bread mix or other savory muffin or biscuit mix (please no perishable, home-baked, items). You can put them in the labeled Food Pantry bins at the back of the church, near the old preschool doors across the yard from the back parking lot.
