Retake/Remake: What is it and why do we care?

You may have seen the donation box in the Gathering Space and wondered what Retake/Remake is, and what would happen to your donations.

Retake/Remake describes itself as “A place to donate, buy and be inspired by arts and crafts materials, office supplies, surplus and other cool stuff collected for Creative Reuse.”

And boy did we collect some cool stuff! Lynda Spring, a member of our Green Team, formed the connection between FPCY and Retake/Remake. At the end of February, Lynda dropped off a carload of donated art supplies.

The result? Fifty-one pounds of art supplies were kept out of the landfill and are on their way to be reused.

Your Green Team is thankful for the donations from the congregation and for Lynda for leading this effort.
