Food Pantry News

We are very grateful to everyone who donated supplies and financial support for our school supply distribution. Thank you to everyone who helped pack and distribute supplies and to everyone who volunteered to help with the pantry during the months of July and August as vacations made scheduling difficult. We can’t do it without you.

Delivery Person Needed for Beaveridge Clients Each time our pantry is open, we make a special delivery to senior citizens at Beaveridge. We are looking for a substitute delivery person to fill in, if necessary, on occasional Saturdays. We pick up groceries at the church between 9 am – 9:20 am and then go directly to Beaveridge on Allen Street to drop off the groceries. Many of the seniors who receive groceries have disabilities or are over 75 -95 years old and do not drive. At Beaveridge, some residents help collect grocery bags from the cars/SUV and bring them to the Beaveridge community room. Normally everything is done between 9-9:30am. The Seniors appreciate this service. Currently we deliver 22 bags. Can you help out? Please call or text Louise (914) 582-6504
