Learn more about their programs.
The remainder of your gift will be donated to the Hudson River Presbytery, the Synod of the Northeast, and the PCUSA General Assembly for ministries of peace and reconciliation and to advocate for peace and justice in cultures of violence, including our own, through collaborative projects of education and Christian witness.
Please consider contributing to this offering, either online, or by by check, marking it for “Peace and Global Witness.”
Please also join us for the special Peace and Justice Sunday service on September 28. Our guest preacher will be Rev. Karina Feliz.
The Rev. Karina Feliz is a bilingual pastor, an Ordained Elder in Full Connection with the United Methodist Church, with 20+ years of experience serving in cross-cultural, multi-site parishes. Rev. Feliz’s primary focus in ministry has been advocacy, immigration, and congregational development. Her passion for social justice and immigrant rights led to her serving as Chair of the Immigration Task Force at the New York Annual Conference of the UMC and as the convener for the North Eastern Jurisdiction Immigration Task Force of the UMC. Rev. Feliz is a Sanctuary movement and accompaniment organizer and trainer.
Rev. Feliz is a native of the Dominican Republic and lives in the Hudson Valley region with her husband and children. Jesus’ words in Matthew 25:35-36 are the core values of her life: “For I was hungry, and you gave me food, I was thirsty, and you gave me drink, I was a stranger, and you welcomed me, I was naked, and you clothed me, I was sick, and you visited me, I was in prison, and you came to me.”
