Youth Meeting Sunday January 22 — And More!

Join us for a Youth Gathering for all Middle and High School Youth from 5:30 – 7:30 tomorrow evening!

Join us in the Youth Room (Room 1) for fun and pizza. We’re going to be talking about what it means to be in a community and play community building games.

All Middle and High School youth are invited!

And are you ready for some exciting news? The church kitchen renovation is almost done! So that means we can have a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on February 21st! (which will be our first in person Pancake Supper since 2020!!)

The Pancake Supper is a super fun evening when Middle and High School Youth get to make pancakes and serve our guests as a fundraiser for Youth activities.

Why Pancakes on Shrove Tuesday? And what is Shrove Tuesday?
Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday – which is the first day of Lent.

Lent is a season of the church calendar when we commemorate Jesus’ 40 days of fasting in the desert with contemplation and our own type of fasting (some folks choose to abstain from certain foods or activities during this season).

Pancakes became a traditional food to make before lent in order to use up rich ingredients like butter and sugar before Lent began. And now you know.

The Pancake Supper is a super fun opportunity for community service and fellowship. And this year it’s going to be extra awesome because we get to be the first group to use the brand new kitchen for a church event!
We need folks to be servers, greeters, and the flippers of the pancakes. Sign up to help.

BIG Thanks to everyone who came caroling in December! The seniors whom we visited were so thrilled with the smiles, songs, and joy that we brought to them.

Btw, anyone missing a single glove or a fleece headband from caroling? If so, they are in Steph’s office!
