This walk is a legitimate hike, so we suggest you wear your boots and bring your water for a trek in the woods and some fellowship. There will be brownies (this one earns chocolate)!
Where: Harriman State Park, Silver Mine & Black Mountain Trails – 4.5 miles
How You Get There: Put “Old Silver Mine Ski Center, Fort Montgomery, NY into your GPS. Take the Palisades Parkway to Route 6W. Take US-6/Seven Lakes Drive Exit, Exit 18, toward Central Valley. Enter the Roundabout, take Seven Lakes Parkway. Turn left onto Old Silver Mine Ski Center (if you reach Harriman State Park, You’ve got about 0.3 miles too far).
