More Magnificent Melodious Musical Munificence

The Eleventh Annual Sunday Afternoon Concert Series – 2011-2012

Our Sunday Afternoon Concert Series will celebrate its eleventh year of providing beautiful music to our Church Family and extended  community. Supported by the generosity of our music patrons, over the last decade we have provided a diverse repertoire of musical offerings, from Broadway to the Yale Whiffenpoofs, — from a swing dance with the Bob January Swing Orchestra to the Pergolessi Stabat Mater.

During the 2011-2012 season, we will present five and possibly six concerts, including an evening of Cabaret in Fellowship Hall complete with musicians and possibly—Tango Dancers!

Our most popular concert at Christmas Time this year will include A Christmas Night by Bob Chilcott featuring a collection of eight  favorite carols in varying moods and musical styles, in addition to other favorites of the season.

Discussions are underway with some of our favorite musical performers including eclectic Jazz with the Cary Brown Trio, and David  Baranowski and friends to add sparkle to the long winter days of January. Our ambitious musical season will conclude in May with our  Spring Concert, directed by Simona Frenkel.

We hope you will celebrate the gifts of our musical talents, guests, and invited professionals by joining us for this exciting season.

Please note: If you are interested in becoming a Patron, please give a check for $50.00 (or more) payable to FPCY, and note it is for the Concert Series 2011-12. Checks may be given in the collection plate or mailed to the office.
