Peace and Global Witness Offering

During the entire month of October, we will be collecting the Peace & Global Witness offering. Our 25% portion of this offering will be donated to Seeds For Peace, an organization that brings together youth from different sides of conflicts (such as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict) so that they can learn to see one another as human beings and learn leadership skills. When they return home, they become leaders for peace within their own communities.

During this summer’s Montreat retreat, our youth learned about their work, which we will hear more about during next month’s Peace & Justice worship service. Learn more about Seeds for Peace. The remainder of your gift will be donated to the Hudson River Presbytery and the Presbyterian Mission Agency for ministries of peace and reconciliation and to advocate for peace and justice in cultures of violence, including our own, through collaborative projects of education and Christian witness.
