Other Ways to Give

What are other giving options?

Check or Cash is typically given on Sunday mornings during the worship service and counted by our tellers each week. If the giver can be identified with the gift, the contribution is recorded in a giving record.

Bill-Pay is a service offered by most banks to their customers. With these services, the customer asks the bank to pay specific amounts to specific recipients on a schedule you choose.  The bank makes one-time or repeating payments.

You can use your bank’s bill-pay to make a donation to the church.  When the church receives the check from your bank, it is counted by the tellers and recorded in your giving record. An advantage of this service is that it is free to the church and — depending upon your bank — may be free to you.

If you already use your bank’s bill-pay system, then adding the church as a payee and scheduling a one-time or repeating payment is very easy.  If you create the church as a payee, the bank usually asks for the name, address and phone, which is First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown, 2880 Crompond Road, Yorktown Heights, NY  10598. 914.245.2186.

Stock Gifts are made to the church by ordering a transfer between your brokerage account and the church’s brokerage account. It is our policy to sell the stock as soon as it is received. A letter of confirmation is sent to the giver and the gift is entered into your giving record. Our head treasurer handles these transactions. For more information, please contact the church office.
