We’re happy to announce that Kaycee Perry has signed on as our Interim Youth Ministry Support person! Kaycee will be helping Chip and Tami organize youth events until our Youth Ministry Transition Team leads us to what’s next. Sunday, May 21, 5:30-7:30 pm — Youth Group
After making dinner together (Mac-n-cheese and decorate-your-own-cupcakes, anyone?), we’ll talk about what it means to be a welcoming community and get ready for the upcoming Yorktown Pride Festival by making posters and signs.
Saturday, June 3 — Yorktown Pride Festival
Show your love and support for the diversity of all God’s children by joining the march and festival at Railroad Park in Yorktown. Everyone is invited to join the walk which begins at 1pm, and then help at the festival where FPCY will have a table.
We need volunteers for our table during the festival. We will be handing out beach balls, buttons, bookmarks stickers and temporary tattoos. We will also have a temporary tattoo station set up with water so that people can put their tattoos on while visiting.
We still need:
2-4 pm 4 people
4-6 pm. 4 people
6-7 pm. 2 people to help Kaycee clean up and bring everything back to the church
