Pentecost Offering to Support the Alliance for Safe Kids

The Pentecost Offering unites us in a church-wide effort to support young people and inspire them to share their faith, ideas, and unique gifts with the church and the world.

This year the Faith Formation Commission has earmarked the local funds to support The Alliance for Safe Kids.  Founded in 2002 by members of the Yorktown Heights community, the Alliance for Safe Kids was incorporated in 2006 as a charitable organization. ASK is a coalition representing all sectors of our community working together to provide a safety net for our youth and families. Issues targeted by ASK’s programs include alcohol and drug use/abuse, bullying, internet safety, driving safety, youth mental health, and domestic and dating violence.

You can contribute using your offering envelope for the offering, marking your check “Pentecost Offering,” or you can give online.

40% of the offering stays with our congregation to support local ministries with children, youth, and young adults.

25% supports Young Adult Volunteers (YAV), serving in communities around the world, and growing as leaders through transformative Christian service.

25% supports Ministries with Youth especially the Presbyterian Youth Triennium.

10% is devoted to children at-risk and supports to improve education and provide safe havens.
