Peace and Global Witness Offering – Offering hope amidst senseless gun violence

Sunday, October 4, there will be a special offering for Peace and Global Witness. You can also give online and indicate “Peace and Global Witness” on the description line for “Other”.

Read about how Marsha Shoushtaris of Los Angeles, whose son was killed in a senseless case of mistaken identity, started a community-wide campaign called “Stop the Violence—Save Lives.” Modeled after PC(USA)’s “Stop the Violence” petition campaign, “Stop the Violence—Save Lives” offers solace to gun victims’ families. In turn, the Presbytery of the Pacific offers the antiviolence movement a platform from which to reach out to the community.

The Peace & Global Witness Offering inspires faith and equips and connects Presbyterians to respond to cultures of violence, including our own.
