Join us at Yorktown Pride 2024!
Here’s what we need:
- Walkers
- Greeters at the FPCY Booth
- Snacks (individually wrapped candy, chips, etc.)
- Set-Up/Clean-Up Help
The festival takes place this Saturday June 29th, noon-4 at Railroad Park, 1826 Commerce St. There’s plenty of parking available across the street in the shopping center lot.
We will gather at FPCY’s table in the park between 12:30-12:45 and then walk to the stepping-off point for the parade which starts promptly at 1 pm. The march loops through the center of town, and returns to the festival where there will be music, entertainment, vendors, and community tables.
Bring yourself, family, friends, posters/signs, flags, rainbows 🌈 etc. We will have some of last year’s posters as well but would love to see new ones!
We also need a few volunteers to help us at our booth during the festival. At the booth we will have water bottle stickers, a temporary tattoo station, beach balls, and snacks to hand out to people. It will be awesome to have the youth represent the church so that others can see our love and community.
Sign Up if you can help staff the table. If all slots are full don’t hesitate to come help anyways! The more the merrier! Bring chairs! We will have a tent up for shade.
There is also a spot to RSVP for the walk as well just so that we can get a good estimate of people that are coming (although RSVP isn’t necessary).
Finally, we need SNACKS (individually wrapped candy, chips, etc.) to give away.
