A Heartbreaking Story from Peru

On August 30, our church commissioned three Young Adult Volunteers for their year of service. They are each writing about their experiences on personal blogs. In a recent post, Shaina Miller in Peru shows us the extreme poverty of one of her students, and tells us the heartbreaking difference in likely outcomes for two brothers. With the support of an internationally-supported community program, the older brother has gone to college, but the program is to be discontinued, leaving the 2 year old younger brother with little hope for a bright future.
