Friends, recent events here and around the world have heightened my awareness of our important presence in the neighborhood here in Yorktown and northern Westchester and the impact we have far beyond our immediate neighborhood. Not surprisingly, the Bible has quite a lot to say about what it means to be a good neighbor and to build neighborhoods that reflect God’s hopes and plans for our world. As we begin the new year, this Sunday we kick off our theme for 2020 – Life in the Neighborhood: Do Justice, Love Kindness, Walk Humbly with our God.
