On Thursday, December 14th at 9:35 am, church bells at First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown and across the nation will be ringing 26 times in remembrance of the 26 lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012. People are invited to attend or stop for a moment of silence wherever they are. Since Sandy Hook, more than 1,700 people have died in subsequent mass shootings in the US. Please write your local and state representatives to urge them to support and pass sensible gun laws.
