It is with disappointment that we share that GoldenOak, who were scheduled to perform at our church, have had to cancel their upcoming tour following a car accident while traveling from Maine.
While we are saddened that the concert will not be able to take place as planned, we are grateful to report that everyone involved is safe and recovering! We ask you to keep the members of the band in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the aftermath of this unexpected event.
We will share any updates regarding refunds, rescheduling possibilities, or other arrangements as soon as they become available. Thank you for your understanding and support.
GoldenOak is coming to Yorktown. The indie-soul-folk band fronted by siblings Zak and Lena Kendall has played Newport Folk Festival, Tanglewood, and the Troubadour. Later in the summer they host their own music festival in their hometown in Maine. Press has described their music as carrying “the windswept warmth of Cowboy Junkies” with “the acoustic melodic flexibility of Mandolin Orange and The Milk Carton Kids.” American Songwriter called their work reminiscent of a late-1960s protest tune. They’re in the Hudson Valley for one night only.
On Saturday, June 6 at 7:30pm, they bring that sound to the First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown — presented by the Concerts on The Corner series.
Tickets: $30 / $10 students at the door or presale.
