The Adult Ed Planning Team has been hard at work this summer planning our fall offerings.
We remind you that everyone is welcome! People sometimes think that they “don’t know enough about the Bible,” or “they don’t have much of a background in theology or religion” or “everyone knows so much, I’ll feel out of place.” I read a great definition of education: “an enlightening experience.”
So join us this fall and become enlightened!
- Our Sunday morning study will be looking at the reformation as we approach the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s nailing his theses on the door of the Wittenberg Cathedral. We’ll meet every Sunday from September 17 until October 29 at 9:30 AM in the library/lounge. Come and bring a friend! We’ll be using Donald McKim’s book The Protestant Reformations . Books will be available for purchase at the first class meeting
- The Women’s Circle will continue to meet on the first Wednesday morning of each month, from 10:30 until noon. The group will be led by Tami and will follow the Horizons curriculum, Cloud of Witnesses: The Community of Christ in Hebrews. All women are welcome to attend one or more of these meetings. You don’t have to attend every session to get a lot out of the study!
- We haven’t forgotten the men! Chip will be hosting a Men’s Breakfast this year. The first breakfast will be held on Saturday October 7. Details to follow.
- Our Thursday morning 10 – 11:30 AM class will be choosing a study from a few of the Great Courses, as we did last year. Join us at our first meeting on September 14th
We’ll be running a Disciple: Fast Track Bible study class this fall. Please let Chip, Connie or Tami know that you are interested. Current Disciple groups will be choosing a curriculum from the available Disciple studies.
Welcome back to class!
