Communications Commission
The Communications Commission’s task is to strengthen the connections within our congregation and between our Church and our community. The Commission’s activities include publishing our monthly newsletter, The Disciple; maintaining this website and our Facebook page; posting public church events to various online community calendar websites; administering the church email lists; displaying banners on the corner of Routes 202 and 35; preparing several “Welcome” brochures we offer to visitors and building users; and maintaining the bulletin boards within the church buildings.
Church Email Lists
FPCY maintains an “Announcements”email-list for sending weekly notices and occasional emergency alerts to the church community. The church school also has a “Church School Parents” list for conveying information related to the church school. You can signup for any of these by calling the church office at 245-2186.
You can find us on Facebook by searching for ”First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown”. ”Friend” us to get updates sent directly to your Facebook newsfeed. We automatically copy most website updates to Facebook, so you can see the ‘stream’ of web site updates on Facebook this way.
