Worship and Music Commission

Worship is the heartbeat of the church. God acts with grace; we respond with gratitude. God claims us as beloved children; we proclaim God’s saving love. God redeems us from sin and death; we rejoice in the gift of new life. This rhythm of divine action and human response—found throughout Scripture, human history, and everyday
events—shapes all of Christian faith, life, and worship.

The Worship and Music Commission oversees all aspects of the worship experience,
taking into account the diverse needs of our faith community. This includes:

  • planning worship themes with the pastors
  • reviewing the content and order of worship
  • planning and implementing special services
  • making arrangements for the administration of the Sacraments (Baptism and Communion)
  • providing appropriate Sanctuary decorations
  • directing the Usher Ministry
  • In partnership with the Communications Commission, overseeing the Tech Team,  which is responsible for recording, editing and disseminating the live stream and recordings of the weekly services.

This Commission provides for the musical life of our congregation, including service music, the choir, the bell choir, all special musical offerings, the Music Ministry Team and The Agape Music Center. The Worship and Music Commission meets once a month, generally on the second Tuesday, and is resourced by the Co-Pastors and the Director of Music Ministry.
