New in the Church Library: Simply Jesus

Even if you’re not yet a fan of N. T. Wright, prolific Bible scholar and thoughtful writer, you’ll want to read Simply Jesus; a new vision of who He was, what He did, and why He matters (232.9 W). Wright methodically discusses what the key questions about Jesus and his ministry are, what Jesus’ public career was all about, and finally, the meaning of his death and resurrection. One reviewer compared his clear and accessible writing style to that of C. S. Lewis. Another wrote: Tom Wright has a fresh way of presenting the story of Jesus. This book retrieves Jesus from the margins of contemporary ideologies and places him once again at the heart of biblical faith. A compelling read!
