Our Church property fared very well during the recent Hurricane and Tropical Storm. The closing & securing the shutters on the Sanctuary worked well and there was no damage. We had much water coming into the two basement areas. A sump pump hose broke in the CE Bldg basement and that resulted in a foot and a half of accumulated water. That was repaired on Sunday, 8/28, and the water quickly went down and all was well. The Steeple also fared very well during this storm. Our recent work on the strengthening and rehab of the Steeple proved very worthwhile. We did not lose power at the Church during the storm as did many areas throughout the Town.
