Mommy and Me
Mommy & Me is a collaborative program run by Arc of Westchester that puts together typically-developing 2 year-olds with children who are receiving special services through Westchester County’s Early Intervention program. Staffed by a special education teacher, a social worker, and an assistant, the program meets twice a week for an hour and a half. The class provides social language skills, art instruction, early literacy exposure, and one-on-one and group experiences that foster social skills.
Mothers sometimes meet separately from their children to discuss relevant family-centered parenting topics.
Monday and Wednesday, 9:30 am – 11 am. Typically-developing 2-year olds pay tuition to Yorktown Presbyterian Preschool of $85 per month; others receive services through Early Intervention.
