On November 30 we “Greened” the Sanctuary with wreaths, roping, and our Christmas Tree. It will soon come time to “De-green” our space. In the past these materials have simply been discarded in the trash. In recent years we say “Thank You” to the Earth for providing these natural decorations, by having their final resting place be a gift back to the Earth. We will find a quiet place in the woods behind the church and let these materials return to nature, and in the meantime provide sheltering nooks for the wild creatures.
Please join us after the second service on January 5 as we dismantle our decorations and give our gift to Mother Earth!
