We launched our Sunday School year on September 20 as kids of all ages reconnected with their friends and teachers over Zoom!

This year our Pre-K through 4th graders are following a new curriculum called SHINE: Living in God’s Light. They meet online at 9:15 before the 10:00 worship service. The Shine groups began the year by showing off their pets and favorite stuffed animals before learning about Joseph and his jealous older brothers. Each weekly lesson will include a Bible story, some music, a simple activity, and a blessing.

Our lively Connect class of 5th and 6th graders meets online at 11:15. In their first class, the kids had the opportunity to greet each other before exploring their Connect Bibles, discovering that the Bible is organized into books in the Old and New Testaments. They also learned how to locate chapters and verses and added some new words into their vocabulary.

In FaithX, our 7th, 8th & 9th graders began their year-long journey through the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. We started week one with the Creation stories and are now traveling through the Old Testament stories of the Hebrews. One of the curricula we are using this year, called “Echo the Story”, invites students to use imaginative listening when hearing stories of the Bible in a learner-centered approach to observe, explore, and find meaning in the stories together as a class.

We are so excited to have such a vibrant class of students to take this journey together! If you missed the first few classes, it’s not too late to register your children and get involved! Please reach out if you have any questions.
